Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of the character Detective Diane Russell. Her most well-known role is her part as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. When she was a kid she longed to be a court reporter. But after she graduated from high school and moving to New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. She starred in 1981 as a naive teen in All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled by a myriad of TV films and dramas. As with her professional career but her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. In the past, this accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages fail. She lost custody of her son in 2005.
